  There was not a lot of positives to say about the place. Staff were slow, four meals took an hour to reach the table. The chicken and bacon was the smallest portion I'd ever seen. The jacket potato with prawn was watery and sogy. The sandwich was stale. I certainly won't be returning and would advise you to find else where to dine.

  Having read the reviews already and being quite concerned, I still visited as I was being treated to dinner so felt obliged to go. Upon arrival, I was surprised to see so many cars (many reviews said the restaurant was extremely quiet). When we went in, we were greeted as if we were friends by a smartly dressed gentleman (didn't catch the name, but tall with glasses) who was really friendly and professional. I know these seem like small things but it is worth mentioning that this greeting far surpassed any I've received from better rated restaurants. He guided us to our table and explained that Nicola would be over to help us shortly. Nicola arrived and was one of the friendliest people I have ever had serve at a table, and she accepted my Dad's poor jokes and returned the humour where possible. She was polite and kind, offering us everything we could possibly need and giving us help and advice where she could.
  The drinks menu was great (soft drink options are sometimes neglected, but not here!) and the vegetarian options were brilliant, with totally varied choice. I had an option that was new to the menu. When the food came out, it looked truly great. I was still worried at this point, due to the reviews saying food was cold or "microwaved". I opened my pie and it was super hot, so not a problem there. And genuinely it was delicious. I can honestly say it was one of the best vegetarian options I've ever had, especially for the price. And definitely didn't seem like a microwave meal - and if it was I don't care because I had an all-round lovely evening. I'm not sure if all the other reviewers had just been to a completely different restaurant or if the staff had taken the time to really turn things around. If so, a huge well done should be in order, and a massive thank you for such a nice dinner.
